After a brief pause due to the volatility in the economy right now due to Covid-19, one of the real estate industry’s leading showing management software, Showing Time, is indicating buyers have reappeared and are active. If you’re asking why buyers are setting appointments to look at homes and going through the process of purchasing homes, even with some stay-at-home orders in effect throughout the country, there are a few reasons behind the uptick in buyers. 
There are always those that need to move for a myriad of reasons including new birth, financial hardship, divorce, and job or military transfers. 
Mortgage rates are another key determining factor. Mortgage interest rates are very close to all-time lows and offer today’s purchasers the opportunity to save tens of thousands of dollars over the lifetime of a loan.
